The injury leaves her status uncertain for the upcoming WNBA season, which begins May 24.

Seattle Storm forward Breanna Stewart, the 2018 WNBA MVP, exited the EuroLeague Final Four championship game with an apparent foot injury on Sunday in Sopron, Hungary. There were rumors on Twitter about a torn Achilles, according to WNBAinsidr. "I'm feeling every emotion possible at this point but just know that the bounce back will be real and I'll be back better than ever".

The 24-yer-old injured herself during the game between her team the Seattle Storm and Dynamo Kursk, a Russian women's basketball club playing in the Russian Premier League. Stewart immediately grabbed at her right leg and appeared to be in pain.

"This is a tough time for Stewie and our hearts go out to her", Storm CEO and General Manager Alisha Valavanis said.

Stewart led the Storm to the WNBA title past year after averaging 21.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 blocked shots. Some WNBA players also play overseas during the offseason to make more money. She won both the league and finals MVP awards while leading the Storm to the franchise's third WNBA title.

The reigning WNBA champions will kickoff the regular season against the Mercury again on May 25 in Everett.
