  • An Early Look At Thursday’s Storms

Tornadoes, damaging winds, hail and heavy rain will all be possible with these storms, according tot the National Weather Service.

Another round of rain and thunderstorms is expected to reach the Brazos Valley Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. NOAA Weather Radio, Live Alert 19, and WHNT News 19 will be on top of making sure you're in-the-know about any severe storms.

However, the weather is looking very ugly Thursday.

Storms will begin Wednesday in the middle of the country, with the most significant threat stretching from central-southeastern Texas to southern Kansas.

The threat of severe storms will drop off quickly after the sun sets around 8 p.m. We will see a weak cap in place (inhibition of storms developing due to dry air overhead) but a cold front and dry line will start to push through on Wednesday afternoon, giving the storms the forcing they need at the surface to begin firing off.

Forecasters say strong storms are again threatening the South days after dozens of tornadoes plowed through the region. The rest of South Texas, including San Antonio, is facing a "slight" risk (level 2 out of 5).

The storms are expected to continue through the night, with the potential for damaging winds and possibly a tornado.

Numerous parameters for severe weather will be in place - except moisture.

The risk there will be partially dampened by the intense rainfall associated with the broad system, but conditions should still allow for a few individual storms to intensify.
