  • Facebook down for some users

In March, it took Facebook 24 hours to announce that the issue which took its social media services offline had finally been resolved.

Followed by the wide-spread outage of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp server, thousands of users had used Twitter to complain about the failure.

Downdetector.com had also added that there were 3,000 incidents in WhatsApp and another 7,000 in Instagram, when people failed to access the sites. As the New York Times noted, even the platform's bug reporting system became inaccessible, a black eye for a company that (at least in theory) is never supposed to go down. The issues affected users in Asia, Europe and the USA, according to the site.

You will find more than 1.52 billion each day active Facebook users, as stated by the social networking network's website. "Supposedly Facebook, insta and WhatsApp are all down but couldn't care less about the other 2 just want my WhatsApp lol!"

A response from a Facebook representative reads, "Earlier today, some people may have experienced trouble connecting to the family of apps ..."

Lesego Semenya said: "Seems Facebook, WhatsApp and Insta are all down".

The downtime was from 11:30 to 14:50 BST, before Facebook was able to resolve the connection issues.

The Downdetector.com has a live outage map, which showed that most of the reported incidents were located in Europe and in Asia.
