  • Disney is finally ready to unveil its streaming service. What we know and what we don't

Disney is developing numerous new TV shows and films based on some of the studio's most beloved brands, including Star Wars, Pixar, and Marvel.

Fans can finally prepare for the highly-anticipated Disney Plus streaming service, which debuts later this year.

Disney says its new video streaming service will launch in the United States on November 12.

Would you like to see Disney's streaming service released on the Nintendo Switch?

To paraphrase a certain Agrabah magic carpet user, Disney+ is ready to show you a whole new world of streaming.

During an investor briefing, Disney revealed various platforms Disney+ will be available on, and Switch is confirmed!

Disney+ will allow downloading, meaning all content from the service will be accessible offline. That is cheaper than rival Netflix, which charges $US13 per month for its most popular streaming plan, but the Disney service will have a narrower focus on family-friendly shows and movies.

The entire Disney Signature Collection, featuring films like Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella, will be available at launch.

In the first year, Disney+ aims to offer up 7,500 television episodes and 500 films from the Disney library.

Live-action Disney films including Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland (2010) will also be available day of launch. Projects already in the works include a Monsters Inc. spin-off series, a The Sandlot TV series, and many new Marvel projects. The above image comes straight from Disney, so they clearly have intentions of the service hitting Switch. If that wasn't enough, Disney+ will also have a Frozen 2 behind-the-scenes documentary. Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian, the first ever live-action Star Wars series, will premiere on Disney+ at launch.
