  • Senator Fraser Anning Has Been Egged By 17-Year-Old At A Local Event- WORLD OF BUZZ 1

A journalist at the event, Paul Sakkal, said the teenager was tackled to the ground by 5 to 6 men, including far-right leader Neil Erikson.

An Australian senator who blamed the tragic Christchurch massacre on Muslim immigration, inciting outrage worldwide, was caught on video punching a teenager on Saturday after being egged while talking to media.

And New Zealand's high commissioner to Australia, Dame Annette King, has condemned Anning's words and says she is "absolutely delighted" he has been condemned by Australia's government and people too.

In response, Senator Anning swings two punches at the young man, at least one of which connects with the young man's head.

The Queensland lawmaker's remarks earned him a public egging at the hands of a teenage boy who was subsequently beaten by Anning supporters. Anning responds by turning around and hitting the boy in the face.

"Police arrested a 17-year-old male from Hampton after he allegedly threw an egg at a 69-year-old Brisbane man at an address in Moorabbin this afternoon during a planned meeting", the statement said.

"The incident is being actively investigated by Victoria Police "in its entirety" including the actions of [Anning] and others", the department said in a statement.

"Mr Yiannopoulos' comments on social media regarding the Christchurch terror attack are appalling and foment hatred and division", immigration minister David Coleman said in a statement.

An online fundraising page is collecting donations to pay for the teen's legal fees and to buy "more eggs".

Anning was speaking Saturday with reporters as CNN Australian affiliate Seven Network captured the scene was the unidentified teenager.

The 17-year-old's motives for egging the senator are not immediately clear, but he was quickly dubbed #EggBoy on social media and is getting global praise for what many are seeing as him standing up against Islamophobia and racism.

"Earlier today I called Senator Anning and asked him not to make any public comment today", Mr Dutton said on Twitter.

The KAP was initially punished for not denouncing Anning's "final solution" speech but eventually expelled him for the comments.

News.com.au political reporter Sam Clench wrote: "The Australian senator now spewing racist garbage in response to the New Zealand mosque attack got 19 votes at the last election".
