  • The Frozen 2 Teaser Trailer is Here

Walt Disney Pictures and Walt Disney Animation Studios have released the first official Frozen 2 teaser trailer!

The first teaser shows Queen Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel) standing on a murky beach staring stone-faced at giant waves before she runs straight at them, using her freezing powers to run along the surface.

According to IMDb, "Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf are going far in the forest to know the truth about an ancient mystery of their kingdom". Plus, Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown have signed up for as-yet-unnamed roles.

The original film hit theaters back in 2013, pulling in an impressive $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office. Songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez return to provide the music. But the clip definitely teases a darker film than the original. "Frozen" was adapted as a Broadway musical in 2018, where it was nominated for three Tonys.

The much-anticipated Frozen 2 doesn't hit theaters until November 22, but this first-look teaser might, just might, hold the can't-wait kids over for the time being.

Are you excited for the next chapter of Frozen?
