  • Trailer: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy

The much-awaited trailer was dropped on YouTube on Wednesday and within 18 hours, it has been viewed more than 15 million times and is also now trending at #1 spot on the video-streaming website.

From Ranveer Singh's "Apna time aayega" to Alia Bhatt's "Mar jayega tu", several dialogues from the 2-minute-40-second trailer have been immortalised as hilarious memes.

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh had everyone in fits as he teased his Gully Boy co-star Alia Bhatt about her beau Ranbir Kapoor. Mumbai Police tweeted, "When he argues to ride a motorcycle without wearing helmet #SillyBoy".

Gully Boy is about a rapper from the slums of Mumbai who wants to rise above his socio-economic status to become a star. He added saying he was born to do the film. "I feel human beings are same everywhere, they work from a gamut of emotions the rest is just backdrop". Ranveer can undoubtedly pull off any role, and here, he has nailed his character. The supporting cast includes Vijay Verma and Kalki Koechlin.

While Ranveer completely steals the show here and seems will impress cinegoers once the movie is released on February 14, Alia Bhatt too appears to play her part well.
