Something Fantastic Four Related Is Heading to Spider-Man PS4 'Real Soon'

  • Fantastic news for Marvel fans

Part of those reveals pertained to Marvel's many video games, and while the focus of the stream on Tuesday wasn't on Insomniac Games' Marvel's Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4, the very end of the stream did include a teaser from Ryan Penagos, Marvel's vice president and creative executive of Marvel New Media.

Now, obviously, when it comes to Marvel and "Fantastic", we all gotta assume he's talking Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and The Thing (Ben Grimm), better known as The Fantastic Four.

Even though comic books like the X-Men and Fantastic Four are responsible for some of Marvel's oldest and most revered characters they don't own the movie rights to them and so in recent years they've been deemphasised, or simply left out, of most new games.

Marvel's Spider-Man is available now on PS4. If this mystery content is a new suit, it's probably not too far out, and if it's something more ambitious - like more City That Never Sleeps-style DLC connected to members of the Fantastic Four, as some optimistic fans have suggested - you can bet more information is already on the way.

As much as I'd love to see Spider-Man swing around NY with a paper bag on his head, I'm partial to the Future Foundation suit on this one.

So, presumably this means something Fantastic Four related is on the way? The game consists of suits from all different kinds of Spider-Man universes, many of them inspired by other heroes.

The other costume option could be the Future Foundation outfit.
