New trailer for The Punisher season two is a testosterone-fueled bloodbath

  • Marvel's The Punisher Season 2 Trailer Double Trouble

The first trailer is as bloody and brutal as you could want, proving that if this is to be the last season of the show we see for a bit after Netflix drops the ax, the character is going to go out with a bang - and then several more bangs. Unfortunately, this Frank the target of her pursuers as well.

Castle replies, "what was I supposed to do?" The vigilante takes it upon himself to help a woman named Amy Bendix (Giorgia Whigham) after she's almost murdered by a group of thugs at a bar. Clips of the ruthless fight that went down in said venue are interspersed throughout the conversation as Bendix questions Castle on his true motivations, saying, "It's nearly like you were happy for the excuse", in reference to the character's tendency toward savagery. She eventually reveals that the men killed her family and are looking to the same to her.

The Punisher returns to Netflix on Friday, Jan. 18. We don't know what will cause Castle to reclaim his Punisher persona, but it likely has something to do with Billy Russo's return as Jigsaw - complete with a new mask. What follows is a war on the streets of New York City as Russo's army try to take down The Punisher.

Or as Benthal's Punisher says ominously in the trailer above, "Let me be what I'm meant to be".

There's even a few quick shots of Agent Madani from the first season, who has some unfinished business with Russo of her own.

What do you think of the upcoming season of The Punisher? The second season of The Punisher begins streaming exclusively on Netflix on January 18. Be sure to tell us all of your thoughts in the comments down below!
