"What I'd say is that there's so much opportunity to do good with a platform like that - and I think Meghan can maximise her impact for others, as well her own happiness, if she's doing something that resonates with her personally".

Now, The Sun reports a Kensington Palace spokesperson as responding to said rumours.

There are also claims that Meghan rowed with sister-in-law Kate over the way she treated staff.

People magazine reported that Kate was "left in tears", although it is not clear why.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019", the palace said in statement on Twitter.

William and Kate are reportedly believed to be planning to spend Christmas with the Middleton family in the Berkshire countryside instead of with the Queen and Prince Philip in Norfolk.

The birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's first child is a few months away yet, but already there's plenty of speculation as to where the little one will make their entrance into the world.

Well-placed royal sources have previously insisted there has been no major falling out between the two couples but confirmed that the two duchesses do not get on particularly well and there have been some tensions behind the scenes.

A feud between Meghan and Kate Middleton is said to have started brewing as early as last Christmas, when Meghan revealed she didn't feel she had been welcomed by some members of the royal family.

Over the weekend, the Mail reported that Meghan had wanted air fresheners for the musty odour of St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Vanity Fair's Katie Nicholl reports the expectant mum might not welcome her child in the Lindo maternity wing of London's St Mary's hospital, where the Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Diana and Princess Anne had their children. She put up with quite a lot.
