  • Balogun makes history with first English Premier League goal

Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun, is the latest Nigerian to score in the English Premier League and he did so in style on Tuesday; getting one of the goals in Brighton's 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.

The visitors were unfortunate to fall behind in the 24th minute when referee Kevin Friend deemed that James McArthur had fouled Jose Izquierdo despite winning the ball and Murray guided the resultant penalty home.

Murray's replacement Florin Andone also scored in the win over Palace and the Romanian forward is expected to lead the line again on Saturday.

It was the second successive appearance in which the Belgian had scored, and Hughton is pleased with his focus as Brighton target a third straight Premier League win. Hughton decided not to start leading scoring Glenn Murray and Alireza Jahanbakhsh against Huddersfield. The Ivory Coast winger has scored three goals and assisted on two others.

Brighton and Palace share a feisty rivalry with the fixture dubbed the "M23 derby" after the road that links the two clubs and last season's fixture was marred by crowd disturbances.

Prizes include, a trip to Old Trafford to watch Man United take on Liverpool in the Premier League, tickets to Ireland's home games in the Six Nations, All Ireland football and hurling final tickets and much more.

"The pattern of the game is impossible to envisage - things happen and you have to deal with them". A Luka Milivojevic penalty just under 10 minutes from the end was Palace's consolation.
