Defense and finally, Epic Games' Fortnite.

Microsoft has taken to its X018 event in Mexico City to unveil an upcoming partnership with Razer, delivering a new and keyboard designed for console gaming. Now that Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass and EA's Origin Access Premier provide day one access to AAA games like Forza Horizon 4 or Battlefield V, it's hard to ignore that these subscription services are slowly but surely changing the consumption habits of hardcore gamers.

Fortnite will receive keyboard and mouse support on Xbox One starting November 14, according to Epic Games' Nathan Mooney, who announced the news at the XO18 event on Saturday.

Fortnite won't be the only game to receive keyboard and mouse support, however.

Hopefully Sony follows in Microsoft's footsteps and allows PlayStation 4 players native keyboard and mouse support as the current simulated implementation just isn't the same.

Microsoft has given a final, proper release date to its much-delayed Xbox exclusive and it's giving away the first game for free to everyone. Traditionally, it's believed that those using mouse and keyboard have an advantage as they enable users to be more precise and react quicker. "If we put this capability in the hands of developers, we'll get more of those games". For Fortnite specifically, players using keyboard and mouse will be matched against others doing the same. Mouse and keyboard support also opens the door to a bunch of touch-based titles to appear on the console.
