  • Michelle Obama breaks silence on day she learnt Trump would replace her husband

Obama also does not mince words when she writes about President Donald Trump, blasting his "bigotry" and saying that she will never "forgive him" for ginning up the birther controversy.

Excerpts of Obama's upcoming memoir were reported on Friday, including ones where she criticizes Trump, saying she won't forgive him for his years of spreading conspiracy theories to delegitimize her husband's presidency.

"What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington", she wrote in her book, according to The Washington Post. "What if that person went looking for our girls?" she wrote in her book, according to The Washington Post. "Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family's safety at risk", she wrote. "I'll never forgive him [Barack Obama] for what he did to our military", he said. I'll never forgive [former President Barack Obama] for what he did to our United States military by not funding it properly.

To Obama, Trump was sending a clear message to women: "I can hurt you and get away with it". "(...) What he did to our military made this country unsafe". A fact check from the New York Times previous year notes that "The military budget did shrink slightly during the Obama administration as the United States pulled out of combat operations, and because of the budget restrictions imposed by Congress known as sequestration".

"The whole thing was insane and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed", reads an excerpt, according to the report.

"But it was also risky, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks", she adds.

Obama also said her body "buzzed with fury" after hearing the "Access Hollywood" tape on which Trump bragged about being able to grab women with impunity. She says she has a "phenomenal marriage" and "we work on our marriage. You know what I mean".

"This unusual mix-of-everything-man", when she finally let him kiss her, set off a "toppling blast of lust, gratitude, fulfillment, wonder". In her book, Michelle Obama has reportedly opened up about the uneasy early years of her marriage to the ex-President, the racists comments she had to deal with, and takes the opportunity to rip on the incumbent Commander-in-Chief.

Mrs Obama writes that they met with a counsellor "a handful of times", and she came to realise that she was more "in charge" of her happiness than she had realised.
