Ever since its release, many AIADMK ministers and party cadres expressed their displeasure over certain scenes in the film.

The AR Murugadoss film, which hit screens on November 6, on its opening day, received mixed response from movie buffs and critics.

The controversial scene in question features AR Murugadoss in a special cameo appearance, throwing away the freebies distributed by the state government into the fire during the song 'Oru Viral Puratchi'. Especially in Madurai, the matinee shows had to be cancelled because of the protest.

After the scale of protests gradually increased, the makers finally gave in and agreed to remove the objectionable scenes from the film. "They are now awaiting clearance from the censor board, and the updated content is most likely to play in theaters from tomorrow's (9 November) noon show". He took to Twitter and lashed out at the people involved in this unruly act. As the actor is debuting in Tamil soon, he certainly needs to bag the love of all the star heroes fans. "I strongly condemn those actions".

"It is against the law to hold protests seeking removal of some scenes from a Censor board certified film and trying to stall the screening and damaging the banners", he tweeted.

"The Censor board is controlled by Central Government, we have no say in it, but if the producers remove those scenes then well and good, if they don't then we will decide our next course of action", he added.
