Shots were fired on the set of a Tekashi 6ix9ine video featuring Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, TMZ reports.

According to reports, the attack happened last night (November 8) at an $80 million estate Tek's team rented in Beverly Hills for the video. "Thank you for everyone's prayers".

Things quickly turned unsafe around 10:25 p.m. PT when Beverly Hills police responded to a call about shots being fired.

West tweeted Friday morning that "Our family is safe and close".

No one was injured and West left the music video shoot "immediately". According to a TMZ source, eight bullets were fired, including at least one that went through a bedroom window.

That being said, it seems unreasonable for 50 Cent to expect anyone to stick around and continue filming the music video after something like that.

While a neighbor who heard the gunshots was the one who placed the initial 911 call (followed by several other neighbors), a security guard reportedly told police that the gunshots were audible from inside the home during video production.

The rapper - real name Daniel Hernandez - was handed the sentence by a Manhattan court, he must also complete 1000 hours of community service as well as avoid any involvement with gangs or any further arrests.

In 2015, Hernandez admitted using a 13-year-old in a sexual act.
