  • iPhone XR Release Date: How to get pre-approved & preorder the new iPhone XR

While demand was better than last year's iPhone 8, which too had muted response in India, sales of iPhone XS and XS Max were about 55-60% compared to last year's iPhone X in the first three days of the launch.

Some users have reported their new phones won't charge when plugged into lightning cables when their screens are off. Thus, the iPhone XS Max's robust improvement to battery life could, therefore, be a bigger selling point than its faster performance. For many of us, these portable computers have become our main camera, making photo quality a priority when picking a new ...

So whenever Apple releases that to everyone, it shouldn't be an issue anymore.

Teardown expert iFixit has revealed a key feature of the new iPhone XS and XS Max that give the phones a leg up on the competition. The affected iPhones only start charging when the screen is on, or after repeated attempts to unplug and replug the charging cable into the iPhone.

It's unclear why that is the case, but it is more than likely to be a software issue that can be sorted out with a quick and easy patch.

Responding to the video, some reports on social media suggested that people are having intermittent problems with charging their new phones, which are hard to replicate. While Pixel 2 XL tends to still retain some of the skin texture, on the iPhone XS, the skin does appear to be smoother.

Finally there's a new feature called Smart HDR.

The iPhone Xs and Xs Max certainly boast significant improvements over their predecessor in the camera department with their Smart HDR feature that's supposed to help produce a good exposure under nearly every circumstance. The larger screen creates an immersive experience that you won't get with any other iPhone, especially when it comes to videos and games. It will then blend those using the iPhone's new processor and create what it thinks is the best possible image based on the environment.

This is according to AppleInsider who has heard from unnamed sources that Apple is looking into the situation but that it is not something that affects all users.
