  • SUPERMAN Returns to CW in a Black Suit for ELSEWORLDS DC-TV Crossover

With filming on this year's Arrowverse crossover now taking place, Arrow star Stephen Amell has taken to social media to share a behind the scenes image from "Elseworlds" featuring the Green Arrow himself along with co-stars Grant Gustin (The Flash) and Tyler Hoechlin (Superman).

In a new promotional poster, Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin have switched superhero roles, making the former The Flash and the latter Green Arrow.

Stephen Amell and Grust Gustin posted the following set image on Instagram. Instead, this is probably one of several alternate Earths we're going to visit in the course of the "Elseworlds" crossover.

The year is coming to a close in just a few weeks, but we still have the Arrowverse crossover event to look forward to before 2018 is all said and done.

The special will also give the CW the opportunity to introduce Batwoman (Ruby Rose) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch).

In other CW crossover related news, while Legends of Tomorrow won't be included in Elseworlds, the team is planning their own crossover of sorts within their own ranks.

That would seem to suggest the characters will interact with alternate versions of themselves, not dissimilar to what happened in the Season 2 finale, involving the Spear of Destiny.

The annual crossover event began with Arrow and The Flash.

As previously reported, this year's Arrowverse crossover event will air Sunday, Dec. 9 through Tuesday, Dec. 11, comprised of the ninth episodes of The Flash (airing on a special night), Arrow and Supergirl (also airing on a special night).
