  • Stardew Valley is headed to iOS this month and then Android

Critically acclaimed farming sim/role-playing game "Stardew Valley" is coming to the Apple App Store on October 24, developer Eric Barone announced on Tuesday.

The extremely popular RPG farming-sim, Stardew Valley, is heading to mobile in two weeks time. The mobile version will offer players the full game, which is nearly identical to the PC version. What you'll get from this port is the full game with all of its features intact.

Lastly, there's a new trailer for Stardew Valley below which shows off how certain things like the HUD will look on mobile devices. Stardew Valley will launch on the iOS store on October 24 ($7.99). The game will launch with the 1.3 patch, with PC users able to transfer their save data.

The exciting news that the game will be heading to iPhone wasn't the only good news. It's also coming to Android at a later unspecified date. The iOS version will arrive first, but the developers are now working on finishing up the Android version, so we should get more news on an exact launch date soon. The mobile port is being developed by The Secret Police, rather than the teams now working on porting multiplayer into Stardew's console versions. Multiplayer for the Switch is now in QA and the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are also coming along nicely.

What do you think of Stardew Valley coming to mobile devices?

If you're looking for something that doesn't revolve around shooting guns (not that there's anything wrong with that), then you might not even hear that Stardew Valley has just been announced for iOS and Android.

Stardew Valley is now available for PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
