Prince Harry is carrying out several engagements without his wife after the Duchess of Sussex chose to scale back her plans on the royal tour.

The Duchess of Sussex has made a decision to cut back on some parts of her first major royal tour after announcing earlier in the week that she's expecting her first child.

A Royal source told ABC News that "she's feeling fine but resting".

The pregnant Duchess of Sussex took a break from royal tour engagements on Sunday morning after a late night at the Invictus Games opening.

Harry, who presented medals to competitors in the road bike time trial, also spoke to Paul Guest, who has an Invictus tattoo on his face.

Adding that the Duchess will still attend the rest of today's engagements and they will both fly out to Fraser Island where due to the rough terrain Meghan will not be undertaking any engagements.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is cutting back her schedule in Australia, following the announcement of her pregnancy.

The prince, accompanied by the Australian prime minister, Scott Morrison, a Games ambassador and three athletes climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge to raise the Invictus flag on the eve of the Games.

The tour has been designed with her health in mind, with its 76 engagements across 16 days scheduled mostly in the morning and early afternoon, keeping the evenings largely free.

On Saturday, the soon-to-be first-time dad gushed about his wife and their news that they would be expecting their first child during his speech at the Invictus Games Opening Ceremony in Sydney, Australia.

But Gareth Pratt said that is changing as Princes William and Harry bring it to the fore. She said she was up at 4:30 am this am doing yoga in her room as she couldn't sleep.

A tweet from Daily Telegraph reporter Hannah Furness revealed that while the Duchess was chatting with some of the girls from the school she told them, "My first job when I was 14, I remember taking out the trash, all sorts". This week, the newly-married couple was in Australia, and they flaunted more PDA than EVER!
