Chiefs' week 7 matchup flexed to primetime

  • Chiefs will play back to back Sunday football games after Oct. 21 game moved

Cincinnati is 6-14 in prime time games since 2011, including 0-5 on Sunday night.

The Kansas City Chiefs got a sixth prime time game when the National Football League moved their home game on Sunday, Oct. 21 against the Cincinnati Bengals to the night slot.

Cincinnati (4-1) and Kansas City (5-0) are off to fast starts with Andy Dalton and Patrick Mahomes at the helm.

Instead, they'll face the Rams in Santa Clara at 1:25 p.m. PT on CBS.

This will be the first Sunday night game for the Bengals, who lead the AFC North at 4-1, since the 2015 season.

San Francisco is also in primetime for Thursday Night Football in Week 9 against the Raiders, Monday Night Football in Week 10 vs. the Giants, and Sunday Night Football in Week 13 in Seattle.

Conversely, the 49ers lost former Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a season-ending knee injury.

Chiefs fans were excited about the game being flexed to Sunday night.

The Chiefs are getting more prime-time exposure and fans couldn't be happier.
