But between evacuations and storm shutter installations, NASA and NOAA are keeping people informed and entertained.

Gerst went on to add that seeing the hurricane is chilling, even from space, and shared an additional of three pictures that speak for themselves.

NASA shared photos Wednesday showing the unsafe storm from the International Space Station.

A total of 3 storms have been spotted by the satellites as of September 13: Joyce, Isaac, and Helene.

Florence is expected to make landfall in the Carolinas early Friday, bringing with it 20-30 inches of rain to North Carolina, and almost 40 inches to SC, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The Hurricane season 2018 is expected to last till November. Florence, the most ominous for U.S. residents, is expected to make landfall today. NASA astronauts used a super wide-angle lens to capture the footage of Hurricane Florence, due to the massive size of it.

Hurricane Florence has reportedly been causing 80-plus feet waves.

Florence is now a powerful Category 3 storm with winds of 125mph, and is expected to strengthen before making landfall along the Carolina coast later this week.

Now a major hurricane with winds of 115 miles an hour and increasing, the National Hurricane Center says Florence's forecast track will take the system over the southwestern Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda and the Bahamas Tuesday and Wednesday, and Florence will approach the coast of SC or North Carolina on Thursday.
