  • Three things to watch Carolina Panthers vs. Dallas Cowboys

Dez Bryant was critical of the Dallas Cowboys on social media on Sunday, as he revealed he would like to sign for the New England Patriots or the Washington Redskins.

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen (88) left the team's season-opener against the Cowboys with a foot injury and will not return.

The Cowboys cut Bryant this offseason after he had 69 receptions for 838 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games in 2017. The Patriots, on the other hand, are a team which apparently appeals greatly to Bryant.

When some fans suggested he was just trying to get himself a job, Bryant said he's "not begging anyone", and added in another tweet said he's "not making a pitch".

In simple terms: The Cowboys' offense was without a big-play downfield threat, a fact that didn't escape Bryant.

"It's kind of cool calling out all of the signals and knowing which route players are about run", he wrote.

The Dallas Cowboys' passing game essentially disappeared in Sunday's Week 1 loss to the Panthers.

While he took several shots at his former team, Bryant did say he wouldn't be doing so on a weekly basis.

"I love Jerry", Bryant responded.

"I think they are going to be dominant", he said.
