National Basketball Association star Stephen Curry says that President TrumpDonald John TrumpOhio county finds hundreds of uncounted votes in already too-close-to-call special election Nunes suggested at private fundraiser that GOP majority is needed to protect Trump Ex-Bush spokesman: Trump shouldn't talk in his "loopy ways" to Mueller MORE's tweet attacking LeBron James' intelligence last week follows a "long-standing" pattern of racism.

President Donald Trump is listed as the recipient of the Care2 petition that asks people to imagine they have a choice between James, 33, and DeVos, 60, for the federal cabinet position, which is responsible for the education of more than 74 million children in the country.

The petition has more than 5,000 supporters and is nearing its goal of 6,000 as of Wednesday afternoon.

The petition calls for public support to help get James named as head of the nation's education, glossing over the enormous hypothetical that Trump would have to name him.

"The second candidate is Betsy DeVos, a scandal-ridden Republican donor who shows an inexcusable dislike for public education, wants to gut protections for women and minorities, and has advocated for teachers to be armed in schools".

During a recent conversation with Don Lemon, LeBron had this to say regarding Trump, "What I've noticed over the past few months, he's kinda used sports to kinda divide us, and that's something that I can't relate to".

"Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon".

"The coverage made it look like the whole thing is his", said Mark Williamson, spokesman for Akron Public Schools district. We certainly deserve better!' the petition reads. "I think it's important to understand that LeBron's was a huge gesture and a huge accomplishment in terms of opening up a public school that can serve his community. I like Mike!" Trump tweeted in reaction to James' interview.
