Mobile Essentials offers unlimited data with no frills

06 August, 2018, 22:40 | Author: Rafael Roberts

The pricing breaks down as follows: The first line on T-Mobile Essentials costs $60 per month, while the second costs $30. If not, and you don't ever go to Canada or Mexico, then I'm not sure why you wouldn't downgrade to this new Essentials plan. T-Mobile's most expensive plan is its "One Plus" that includes all that plus more hotspot data, HD streaming, caller ID and more.

T-Mobile Essentials offers the bare necessities - unlimited talk, text and data in the U.S. - for just $30 per month.

The most alarming aspect of the Essentials plan is T-Mobile's admission that "during times and places with heavy network demand, Essentials customers may notice slower speeds than other customers" and further reduction if using more than 50GB of data per month. As you might expect, though, the savings only really kick in when you activate multiple lines.

T-Mobile Essentials will be available beginning August 10th. "T-Mobile Essentials is a plan for people who predominantly use their phone domestically", the carrier says, pointing frequent travelers in the direction of T-Mobile ONE instead. These prices do include autopay. Are you interested in a T-Mobile Essentials plan? A $5 24-hour Global Pass will give 512MB of up to 4G LTE data plus unlimited calling in Mexico, Canada, and other worldwide destinations.

Having more options is always a good thing, and that's what T-Mobile Essentials gives T-Mo customers.

Overall, if you don't need extras like worldwide calling, the T-Mobile Essentials plan will let you save a few bucks.

Mobile hotspot is actually included in the plan, but it is limited at 3G speeds. The add-on now offers 10GB of 4G LTE mobile hotspot data, but that'll be bumped up to 20GB starting August 10th. The price of T-Mobile One Plus will also be increasing, going to $15 per month for a single line. For a family of 4, that would be $120/mo or $30 per line.
