  • Ariana Grande performs in Los Angeles

The segment features McCartney and Corden joyfully singing the Beatles hit "Penny Lane" as they drive along Penny Lane in Liverpool.

Even Grande manager Scooter Braun got in on the act, posting a photo on Instagram of himself in the auto with Corden and director Ben Winston, writing "A big one is on the way!"

Earlier, Grande and Corden hinted in a series of tweets that the "Carpool Karaoke" segment was in the works.

On Tuesday, during a segment called "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts", in which "The Late Late Show" host and his guest are faced with the choice of answering a tough question or eating a delicacy, Kris Jenner asked Corden why her son-in-law hasn't done his "Carpool Karaoke" bit yet.

"He canceled once as I was turning the corner to his house", Corden explained. We've tried! He has canceled twice, maybe even three times. I was outside his house and they were like, 'He's not in the zone for it right now. West did, however, send a consolation gift. "He sent me these incredible flowers in a cube... and he sent me a pair of Yeezys", Corden said. He added, "People were like, 'Whoa! We are so delighted CBS has given us this primetime special to make an hour-long version of this 'Carpool Karaoke.' Now everyone can see the joy of that concert and more of their chat". The network has greenlighted Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live From Liverpool to air Monday, August 20 at 8 PM. "We loved making it and knew we had something special, but it was so wonderful for us to see how many people watched and enjoyed it". And check out our host, Kylie Mar, onTwitter,Facebook, orInstagram.
