Regarding the plot, producer Neal Moritz revealed to The Wrap that the movie will follow the buddy cop format, where Sonic teams up with a small town cop (Marsden) to stop Eggman. Following a release date that is nearly a short year away, we've already got a full cast assembled for the live-action/CGI hybrid film. The movie will mix CG and live-action, and Carrey confirmed that his character will be live-action.

Schwartz joins a cast that includes James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Jim Carrey.

Ben Schwartz has been tapped to voice the title character in Paramount Pictures' "Sonic the Hedgehog" movie, sources tell Variety.

Schwartz is probably most known for his role of Jean-Ralphio Saperstein on the hit show Parks and Recreation, however, more recently he played the role of Dewey on latest Disney Channel reboot of DuckTales. Have you seen any of Schwartz's work?

Set for release on November 15, 2019, Sonic the Hedgehog will be the directorial debut of Jeff Fowler, who is directing from a script by Patrick Casey and Josh Miller (12 Deadly Days).
