  • Sacha Baron Cohen's Feud with Sarah Palin Continues

There are two sides to every story, and Sacha Baron Cohen, 46, is here to clear the air on what really happened when he interviewed Sarah Palin, 54, for his upcoming show Who Is America? .

Baron Cohen successfully lampooned a host of prominent figures in American politics, including former Democratic presidential hopefuls Bernie Sanders and Howard Dean.

He goes on: "I don't need Sacha Cohen to tell me who America is", adding, "As an American, I would never hide my identity and deceive others only to mock and ridicule them as this Showtime series is created to do".

Palin took to Facebook earlier this week to reveal she was tricked into sitting down with Cohen's alter ego.

"I did NOT say I was a War Vet", the letter reads.

Ruddick claims he never presented himself as a former member of the USA military (he was, in fact, a part of the United Parcel Service), that he was unable to serve his country (following the discovery of bone spurs in his "testies"), and that Palin may have been hit by a "bullshit grenade".

Cohen, as Ruddick, then mocked Palin for questioning the authenticity of former President Barack Obama's birth certificate and comments she made about being able to see Russian Federation from her home in Alaska. She was greeted by a man in a wheelchair, presumably Cohen, who identified himself as a veteran and proceeded to conduct "a long interview full of Hollywoodism's disrespect and sarcasm".

He also adds, "I have always admired you for TELLING THE TRUTH about Obama's birth certificate and the location of Russian Federation. But ma'am I do believe you have been hit by a bullshit grenade and now now bleedin' FAKE NEWS".

Who Is America? is already ridiculous, and it hasn't even premiered yet.

Showtime had no comment on Wednesday on the accounts by Palin and Walsh and has declined to give details of the series, or who will be appearing.

She is challenging Baron Cohen and Showtime to donate proceeds from the show to a veterans' charity.

"I DEMAND an APOLOGY", Sacha ended the letter.
