Roseanne Barr Says She Thought Valerie Jarrett Was White in New Video

  • Roseanne Barr arrives at the 75th annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills Calif. Barr is blaming a racist tweet that got her hit show canceled on the insomnia medication Ambien prompting its maker to respond that

In a weird attempt to explain her racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, Roseanne goes off calling Jarrett the B-word.

Barr will release episodes of the show directly on her YouTube channel, with the released clip giving a preview of the show's first episode. "I'm trying to talk about Iran", Rosanne screams in the interview.

The actress has since apologised for the tweet, which subsequently hurled her career off a cliff edge, but another interview, shared on Roseanne's YouTube channel yesterday, sees the 65-year-old puffing on a cigarette, yanking on her hair and literally yelling at the camera: 'I thought the bitch was white'.

After a loud groan, an agitated Barr lashes out at her interviewer when asked about her now-notorious tweet in which she claimed the former Barack Obama adviser was a creation of the Muslim Brotherhood and "Planet of the Apes". Barr screams. "Goddamnit! I thought the bitch was white!"

"I thought the bitch was white!" If anyone hadn't noticed the racist undertones of her show's return, or if they just didn't care, at least the tweet immediately put ABC in a precarious position.

She later tweeted an apology, writing, "I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans". "You've told me this 300 times".

The video is titled "Roseanne explains the Valerie Jarrett tweet". Pentland told TMZ that guests include himself, Barr's boyfriend, former Roseanne crew member Allan Stephan and her former campaign manager Thomas Muhammad.

'I've lost everything. And I regretted it before I lost everything and I said to God, "I am willing to accept whatever consequences this brings because I know I've done wrong".

"But I have to face that it hurt people".

Barr's termination over the Jarrett comment was well deserved, but the network should have made the decision to part ways with her long before it was ever made. When you hurt people even unwillingly there's no excuse. "I know", the interviewer answered again. She also said she was leaving Twitter.
