Riyad Mahrez looks set to complete his long-awaited move to Manchester City later this week, according to Sky sources.

Leicester have granted Mahrez a week off after a friendly global with Algeria, but it is believed that the Foxes granted the extra rest for Mahrez to finalise his deal with City.

The deal is yet to be wrapped up, but it's believed the transfer fee is around £60m, which is £20m short of the asking price (£80m) in January.

Leicester will receive around £60m for the winger.

He has been given extra time off by the Foxes after playing in Algeria's global games in June and is due back for training next week.

City were heavily linked with Mahrez back in January but ended their pursuit over Leicester's demands for a £95 million deal, per the Guardian's Jamie Jackson and Stuart James.

The manager remains in pole position to prise Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City, though an agreement between the clubs is yet to be agreed.

What seems clear is that he has now played his last game in the colours of Leicester, the club he won he English title with in 2015-16.

Mahrez, who signed from Le Havre for just £400,000 in 2014, has made 179 appearances for Leicester, scoring 48 times.

Manchester City have chased Mahrez for two seasons and will finally get their man this summer, while Jorginho's pursuit has also been long-protracted.
