Republicans back arming toddlers in Sacha Baron Cohen's hoax

Sacha Baron Cohen may look almost unrecognizable in a sneak peek of his new Showtime series "This Is America", but that hardly seems like an excuse for the Republican politicians who appear in a segment about arming preschoolers. Trent Lott, the former Senate Majority Leader from MS, stares directly into a camera and endorses arming "highly-trained pre-schoolers".

Cohen is "a amusing guy because he gets people to say stupid things", Walsh told CNN on Saturday.

Former Rep. Joe Walsh of IL, who is now a conservative radio host, said the "kinder-guardian" program "introduces specially selected children, from 12 to four years old, to pistols, rifles, semi-automatics, and a rudimentary knowledge of mortars".

Cohen apparently tricked Walsh, along with Reps.

She claims that Cohen disguised himself as a wounded veteran for the sit-down, and that to cap things off the production team knowingly dropped her and her daughter off at the wrong airport, knowing they would not be able to get a flight back to Alaska.

The segment reminds of the scene in Cohen's BRUNO when he talks to several parents auditioning their children for a photo shoot, only for them to say it's okay for him to put their kids near bees, acid and heavy machinery.

"The intensive three-week Kinder-Guardian course introduces specially selected children from 12 to 4 years old to pistols, rifles, semiautomatics and a rudimentary knowledge of mortars", Walsh says.

"In less than a month, a first grader can become a first grenadier", he said.

But perhaps the most damning and ridiculous lines were given to gun lobbyist Larry Pratt, who recited them verbatim after expressing his staunch support for such an idea.

"Happy shooting, kids", he added.

While reading it, Walsh recalled thinking, "Well, this is kind of insane, but it is Israel and Israel is strong on defense", but that it wasn't until later that he "found out this whole thing was made up".

Blink-182 is a rock band, Rita Ora is a pop singer, and Cardi B and Wiz Khalifa are both rappers. They don't care if it's politically correct to shoot a mentally deranged gunman.

Pratt, who served in the Virginia House of Delegates in the early 1980s, said that "the science behind this program is proven". "This allows nerve reflexes to travel along the Cardi B neural pathway to the Wiz Khalifa 30 percent faster, saving time and saving lives".
