  • Jonathan Crenshaw's mugshot

Crenshaw spent most of his time in South Beach creating paintings using only his feet, drawing the attention of tourists walking by him.

Jonathan Crenshaw, 46, is accused of holding a pair of scissors with his feet and stabbing 22-year-old Cesar Coronado just after midnight on Tuesday morning, according to Miami Beach police.

Crenshaw said he was lying down when Coronado approached and punched him, police added.

Crenshaw was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to the Miami New Times.

Barrientos described the attacker to police as a homeless man with no arms.

Coronado, who was visiting Florida from Chicago, suffered a wound to his left arm and officers found him lying on the ground bleeding, according to WPLG.

Police said the victim's friend told officers that the victim was asking Jonathan Dale Crenshaw, 45, for directions when Crenshaw pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim.

But a female friend who was traveling with Coronado told a different story.

The report says Crenshaw stabbed Coronado twice with scissors, which he put back into his waistband and walked away. He's now being held on a $7,500 bond at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Along with multiple charges of battering police, Crenshaw's record also includes trespassing and disorderly intoxication arrests.

Crenshaw has a court date on July 18; his bond has been set at $7,500.
