Had Damaging Information On Donald Trump, Says FBI Agent Peter Strzok

  • “I’ve never seen a president say anything as strange and counterproductive as President Trump’s harangue against NATO and Germany,” John Kerry wrote. “It was disgraceful destructive and flies in the face of the actual interests of the United S

Peter Strzok testified publicly for the first time since being removed from special counsel Robert Mueller's team following the discovery of the texts past year.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., and Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., criticized what they called the clear bias against Trump that Strzok and Page had demonstrated and they lectured Strzok about his refusal to answer questions based on instructions from the FBI's attorneys.

Reps. Elijah E. Cummings and Jerrold Nadler, the top Democrats on the House oversight and judiciary committees, said under House rules the minority party is allowed to demand a witness of their own. "This decision is long overdue".

'Agent Strzok had Donald Trump impeached before he even started investigating him.

Strzok insisted under aggressive questioning that a much-discussed August 2016 text in which he said "we'll stop" a Trump presidency followed Trump's denigration of the family of a dead USA service member.

"I don't give a damn what you appreciate, agent Strzok".

Strzok replied that he was not under subpoena, but testifying voluntarily - and that he could not answer questions "related to the ongoing investigations being undertaken by the special counsel's office".

"If you can't control yourself", Democratic Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman charged Gowdy, "how do you expect this committee to control itself?" In it, Strzok describes his reluctance to work on behalf of the special counsel, and that seemed to imply he didn't think there would be substantial findings of collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign team.

In the clip below, Gowdy reads a part of one of Strzok's texts.

"My presumption [was] based on that awful, disgusting behavior that the American population would not elect somebody demonstrating that behavior to be president of the United States", Strzok explained.

Jeffress has argued that Page needs more time to review relevant records before testifying to the panels, a claim that the Republican members of those committees reject.

Committee members sought to question Strzok about the texts and to determine how, if at all, his anti-Trump bias impacted the investigations.

"President Trump is being investigated by people who possess pathological hatred for him", Giuliani said.

"It was in response to a series of events that included then-candidate Trump insulting the immigrant family of a fallen war hero", Strzok said, "and my presumption based on that terrible, disgusting behavior, that the American population would not elect someone demonstrating that behavior to be president of the United States".

"I am certain that Congress will have the opportunity to look at any investigation once it is closed", he said.

Strzok was indignant in defending his text to Page, which stated, "We'll stop it [Trump from being elected]". He was removed from the Russian Federation investigation past year after the texts were discovered.

FBI Director Chris Wray says the bureau has referred to internal disciplinary officials employees who were singled out for criticism in the inspector general's report.

Goodlatte told Alisyn Camerota on CNN's "New Day" Thursday morning that Page had agreed to an interview Friday. Guiliani saying that "all the results of the investigation" should "be dismissed" seems to imply that he believes that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's charges against the 13 Russian nationals who are accused of interfering in the 2016 election, should also be dismissed.
