Additionally, he now has 7 out of 10 songs in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

That line off his platinum album Scorpion has fueled reports that the rapper is at the end of his deal with Young Money/Cash Money, which is distributed through Universal Music Group's Republic Records.

The most recent Billboard Hot 100 finds Drake once again breaking new ground. That brings Drake to a career total of 31 top 10 songs, passing Michael Jackson's previous record for male solo artists.

Drake's new album Scorpion is comfortably topping the NZ Album Chart.

"Scorpion" sold 732,171 equivalent albums - based off album sales and streams - to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's 200 albums chart.

All 25 tracks from "Scorpion", which was released online June 29, managed to climb onto the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

Streaming services in 2017 became the recording industry's biggest single revenue source, overtaking sales of physical albums and digital downloads. Every track from J. Cole's K.O.D. and Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys also charted in the Hot 100, and the former rapper became the first artist ever to debut three songs in the top 10.

1 hit, "Nice for What", returns to the top of the chart, while "Nonstop" debuts at No. 2.

Despite this chart success, the number one single this week on both the New Zealand Top40 and the Billboard Hot 100 is now held by Cardi B, with her feature on Maroon 5's Girls Like You and her single I Like It.

In Canada, six songs reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart.

According to executives, Drake could easily command a per-album advance of $15 million to $20 million if he signs to a major.
