As the release of the DJI Mavic Pro II (2) nears, more details about the exciting new drone are making its way to the Internet. There has been no official comment from DJI on the leaked drone. That, however, does not mean that they are not credible.

With a sleeker looking body and seemingly larger motors, the Mavic 2 drone is intriguing. The other one, meanwhile, looks like a 1/1.7 sensor.

The image comes via DroneDJ, along with several notes on the likely specifications that the device may sport, according to what can be seen in the picture below.

Now Playing: Watch this: DJI's Mavic Air has big features but still fits in a. In fact, it is much closer in form to the Mavic than the more recent Mavic Air.

Oddly this model would not appear to feature the new "quiet props" introduced via the Mavic Pro Platinum but this could be an early concept model. The speculation is that the event will unveil the company's next drone after the DJI Mavic Pro, as the artwork for the event hints that imaging will be the highlight. The Mavic Pro II will instead get the usual propellers.

DJI is one of the top companies in the world of personal drones for shooting video and other content. DJI also has a history of having a tough time keeping its new products under wraps.

A leaked image allegedly showed the next DJI drone, the DJI Mavic 2.

The arms of this drone are also rounded rather than featuring sharp and defined edges as per the original model. This would line up with some of the marketing that DJI has been touting for its upcoming event, with the phrase "See The Bigger Picture". The timing certainly seems right for a followup to 2016's Mavic Pro, and the "bigger picture" event artwork appears to confirm a focus on imaging.

We're now waiting for details about DJI's next press event, which may or may not take the wraps off the follow-up to the Mavic Pro.
