  • PA The American firebrand will make a two-day “working visit” to the UK on July 12 and 13

Magid Magid made the announcement while chairing a Sheffield City Council meeting and donning a sombrero "in solidarity" with Mexico.

"When Trump visits the United Kingdom on Friday the 13th of July this year, we want to make sure he knows that all of Britain is looking. and laughing at him", the crowdfunding page said.

Lord Mayor of Sheffield Magid Magid has declared that President Donald Trump is banned from the city. That wasn't true. But there is now a no-go zone for President Trump in the United Kingdom -the entire city of Sheffield.

Donald Trump has been "banned" from the city of Sheffield by its new mayor - just ten days ahead of the United States president's visit to the UK.

The council said Mr Magid does not have the power to ban anyone from the city, but that full council "may through a collective, democratic debate and process, agree to condemn the views of an individual or organisation". He'll be flying into the United Kingdom and he's expected to meet the Queen and Prime Minister Theresa May.

In his tweet, Mr Magid also attached a picture of himself wearing a "Donald Trump is a wasteman" t-shirt. Trump may then visit Scotland to play golf at one of the golf courses he owns in Ayrshire and Aberdeenshire. At 28, Magid is the youngest person to ever hold the post.

These include "issuing his ridiculous, racist "Muslim-ban", withdrawing from the Paris Climate agreement, and "defending the violence and actions of White Supremacists".

The tweet was followed by a second tweet stating "five reasons why Donald Trump is a wasteman" - reasons included Trump's controversial Muslim ban, his withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement and the UN Human Rights Council, the moving of the USA embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and his support for white supremacists.

Magid also gave a list of five things people can do "to beat Donald Trump", including joining demonstrations against the president, donating to organizations fighting his politics, looking out for those who may be targets of hate crime, showing solidarity with mosques and lobbying the government to speak out against him.

"We need now more than ever to come together in spite of our differences and empower everyone in our society and collectively work towards building a future where love and tolerance prevail, and where everybody belongs", he added.
