Square Enix and DontNod announced a new game set within the Life is odd universe during Microsoft's E3 2018 briefing. Well, while that title is in development, the team will first be joining forces with publisher Square Enix to release a self-contained "narrative Life is unusual experience". The best bit? The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is releasing at the end of the month for absolutely free. The official blurb reads, "In The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, you play as Chris, an ordinary 10-year old boy who dreams of being a superhero".

During Microsoft's press conference at E3 2018, the company debuted a new trailer for The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, a new title that appears to set within the Life is odd universe, though focusing on a new set of characters, a young boy and his father.
