On Switch, the game will be getting Star Fox-related content, with Fox McCloud shown off in an ARWing in a trailer.

A Star Fox and Starlink crossover has been announced at E3 2018, with Ubisoft once again teaming with Nintendo in order to bring the mascot to the upcoming space combat game.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas will be available on October 16th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The Starlink pitch sounds like a classic recipe: in the Atlas star system 400 light years away from Earth, factions are vying for power. Battle in exclusive Add-on Star Wolf missions!

The hope, of course, is that Nintendo eventually does more with the Star Fox franchise on Switch, but this might satiate some fans for the time being. What we thought was just a new trailer quickly took an interesting turn, as Ubisoft revealed that a beloved Nintendo character will feature in the game.

Releasing exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, you'll be able to build a toy modular Arwing, attach it to the controller and use it within the game's space fights. How it all works is described in the trailer you see below. Packs with pilots will be $7.99, weapons $9.99, and spaceships (with a starship, pilot, and weapon) for $24.99.
