The full album is slated to be released on September 21.

Warner Bros. says the album features Prince working through nine tracks in a private rehearsal recording at his now-demolished home studio in the Minneapolis suburb of Chanhassen.

Prince's estate has been making good on that promise, as they've announced a brand new Prince album, Piano & A Microphone 1983, in commemoration of what would have been his 60th birthday.

The tracklist includes raw versions of the song "Purple Rain", the 1984 B-side "17 Days", the "1999" LP deep cut "International Lover" and "Strange Relationship", the latter of which would not be made public until 1987 on the "Sign o' the Times" album.

"This raw, intimate recording - which took place at the start of Prince's career right before he achieved global stardom - is similar in format to the Piano & A Microphone Tour that he ended his career with in 2016", Troy Carter, entertainment adviser for the Prince Estate, said. Interestingly, the new album shares a title with Prince's final concert tour, which he embarked on in early 2016. It was recorded just after the release of "1999" and a year before the release of "Purple Rain", which launched him to super-stardom. Fans who pre-order the album via digital download will immediately receive an Instant Grat download of "Mary Don't You Weep".

This is one special gift to Prince's fans.

With first pitch at 7:10 p.m., Prince Night will see the Twins (26-32) battling the L.A. Angels; Lance Lynn (4-4) is set to take the mound against Garrett Richards (4-4).
