  • Salah responds to Ramos' comments about Champions League injury

Salah sustained the injury in clash with Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos in the Champions League final in May 26th, casting a doubt over his hopes of leading the Egyptian challenge at Russian Federation 2018.

Mohamed Salah looks to be on course to make his return for Egypt in time for the beginning of the World Cup.

Mohamed Salah gave Egypt's 2018 Soccer World Cup hopes a huge boost on Wednesday when he joined a squad training session at their Grozny base.

"We have been following the case since his injury in the final of Champions League".

The Egypt worldwide won the PFA player of the year award ahead of Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne to cap an incredible first season at Liverpool FC.

Uruguay are the favourites in Group A, which also includes hosts Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia, who kick off the World Cup on June 14.

Team doctor Mohamed Abou al-Ela said over the weekend that Salah would not play "unless he has totally recovered". 'We hope he will be with us for the Uruguay match'.

However, his World Cup dreams were almost crushed after the Egyptian suffered a shoulder injury in that very final, following what many believe was dirty play by Real Madrid's defender Sergio Ramos.

"I'm with Luis (Suarez), I like the best players to play, I train with the best and I want the best players to play", said Muslera.
