The list of "Video Games That May Never Actually Release" has just lost one of its most prominent members. We still might perhaps get some more gameplay at the conference though, so it might be time to get your hopes up.

Square Enix made the announcement at 1:30am ET Sunday morning during the kickoff of the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra - World Tour, despite the fact that the company has an E3 press conference Monday morning.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is the first Kingdom Hearts game to come to Xbox One. Previously set for this year, Kingdom Hearts III will miss 2018 by a hair.

After announcing that the game will be releasing early next year, Square Enix took to the stage of the Microsoft E3 2018 Briefing to debut a brand new trailer for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III. Sora is joined by Donald Duck and Goofy, two emissaries sent by King Mickey from Disney Castle, to stop an evil force known as the Heartless from invading and overtaking the universe.
