The official results gave 54 of the 328 seats in parliament to a nationalist alliance between the Shia Muslim cleric Moqtada Sadr, whose militia once fought USA troops, and a number of mostly secular parties.
Also, the parliament voted in favor of appointing nine judges to run the country's official electoral commission.
In a statement issued by his office, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said that storing weapons in a crowded residential area by "unauthorized parties" was a "crime that led to the killing of innocent people". We can not guarantee that it is suitable for the visually or hearing impaired.
"But everything really seemed to kick in yesterday when Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi endorsed the findings and the recommendation of a ministerial committee and alleged that there were "dangerous violations" in the election".

It ruled out the use in future elections of electronic vote counting devices, blamed for numerous violations.
Abadi's alliance came in third place with 42 seats.
The incident has occurred at a crucial time when the old political elite defeated by Al-Sadr's coalition, which includes the secularists, is seeking a recount of the votes.
His bloc's performance represented a rebuke to political elites that some voters blame for widespread corruption and dysfunctional governance.

Some new members-elect of Iraq's parliament think that Iraq should be able to export as much crude oil as it wants, newly elected lawmakers and politicians allied to al-Sadr's political bloc have told S&P Global Platts in interviews.
Al-Sadr also commands a government-backed paramilitary force, which took part in the almost three-year war against Daesh, which had in 2013 and 2014 seized large swathes of Iraq's territory.
However, Baghdad province council member Mohamed al-Rabeei told Reuters that "all the boxes and papers have burned". He said the main issue was with the electronic vote-counting machines that were used for the first time on 12 May.
He added that eight Taliban attackers were killed and more than a dozen others were wounded during the gun battle. Army General John Nicholson, commander of United States and global forces in Afghanistan, told reporters.
