This is it, folks.

Today during the Xbox E3 2018 Press Conference, engineering executive Ashley Speicher made some big announcements about Xbox Game Pass. Granted, much of its success was likely due in part to the hype surrounding the release of Fallout 4; Fallout Shelter released just prior to the main title and featured heavily as part of Bethesda's franchise marketing campaign.

Fallout 76 is about rebuilding, and all the people who emerge from the Vault will be responsible for forging a new beginning.

Takes place before all the Fallout games. The trailer then showed off the world, which didn't look as rough as the Fallout worlds we're used to seeing.

Fallout Shelter is a free-to-play simulation game first launched for iOS in June 2015, followed by Android in August 2015, PC in July 2016, and Xbox One in February 2017. What did you guys think? Citing "three people familiar with the project" it appears that Fallout 76 is an experimental entry in the post-apocalyptic series, sporting online functionality and gameplay heavily-inspired by the likes of Rust and DayZ.
