Dancing FBI agent charged in Denver club shooting is allowed to travel

Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Chase Bishop, 29, a D.C-based special agent that was visiting Denver for training earlier this month when he allegedly shot a man at Mile High Spirits in the city's LoDo downtown area, was charged Tuesday with assault in the second degree, a class 4 felony, by Denver District Attorney Beth McCann.
Bishop's story went viral after a video circulated on June 3 appeared to show him dropping a handgun while performing a backflip in Denver's Mile High Spirits distillery.
The Denver District Attorney's Office said Bishop, 29, turned himself in on Tuesday morning after an arrest warrant was issued and has since been booked into jail. Depending on what those results, additional charges could be filed.
The Denver District Attorney's Office said Bishop could face additional charges pending the results of a blood alcohol content analysis.
Our reporting partner, 9News in Denver, said that multiple sources told them that Bishop works out of Washington D.C. and is a decorated former Army captain who served in Afghanistan.
