Australia levelled through Jedinak's penalty awarded after a video assistant referee (VAR) review.
Kasper Schmeichel questioned whether VAR should be used during the World Cup after Denmark felt hard done by in their 1-1 draw with Australia.
Christian Eriksen rattled the back of the net for Denmark in the 7th minute after Mile Jedinak equalised from the penalty spot for the Socceroos minutes before the half-time whistle. The draw put Denmark on top of Group C with four points, while Australia have just one point from two matches.
"He's the leader, the commander of the team and when he steps up for the penalty everyone knows he's going to score because he's so consistent on and off the field", Arzani told reporters. The Australians did finally get back into the game with a penalty, via the VAR process. "The French they are more creative and have a lot of speed".
Mathew Leckie had a wonderful chance to head Australia into the lead just three minutes later when a Aaron Mooy corner found the number seven, but he planted the ball over the crossbar.
It looked a harsh decision, given the proximity of Poulsen to Leckie, but the former's hand was in an unnatural position, and Jedinak stepped up to the plate and delivered again.
"I think work is needed on VAR, I don't think it is where it should be at the moment".
"They were lucky with the decision", he said. We thought about it afterwards and there was a foul against Poulsen before.
Captain Mile Jedinak says the Socceroos cannot afford to focus exclusively on dangerman Christian Eriksen looking for the win that could save their World Cup campaign. Instead, Denmark fell victim to the system, which has worked well so far in the World Cup but isn't flawless.
Eriksen's seventh-minute opener was fully deserved by the fast-starting Danes and the quality of his half-volley finish was excellent in a tournament that has produced some wonderful goals.
The second half was as good a goalless half as you will see, even if Australia's early joy down the flanks failed to materialise into anything due to a series off sub-standard crosses. We lost the ball in the last third and they counter attacked on us.
Australia, who are playing in their fifth World Cup finals, need a positive result to maintain realistic hopes of qualifying for the last-16 for the second time in their history. Jedinak now stands two behind Australia's top-scorer Tim Cahill (5).
Nabbout was in immediate pain. "We had to run too much", Hareide said.
"Every game at the World Cup is like a final".
